The experience

A rental gives you room to explore without following a tour schedule. Linger beside a spring vent, watch birds work a quiet shoreline, take photographs, or keep paddling to see what is around the next bend.
Three hour rentals launch by advance reservation at 8:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Full day rentals launch at 8:45 a.m. and must return by 5:00 p.m. Availability is limited, so advance reservations are required.

Before you launch, we set up your kayak, review basic paddling and safety guidance, explain the route, and provide a detailed river map. You leave prepared, not simply handed a paddle.
One price for the kayak
Rentals are priced per kayak, not per person. Each clear tandem accommodates one or two riders within the weight limits.
Equipment is included
Clip in seats, cushions, paddles, one United States Coast Guard approved wearable life vest per rider, whistles, and a dry bag are prepared for you. Riders under age 16 must wear their life vest for the entire rental.

Why this experience is different
Independent does not have to mean unprepared.
The Silver River is beautiful, but it is still a natural waterway shared with wildlife and other vessels. We want every rental guest to understand the route and feel comfortable before setting out.
Wildlife may include manatees, monkeys, alligators, turtles, otters, fish, and native birds. Sightings are never guaranteed, and every animal must be given space.
Before you book

- Three hour rentals are $75 per kayak and launch at 8:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. by advance reservation.
- The 8:45 a.m. three hour rental returns by 11:45 a.m. The 12:45 p.m. three hour rental returns by 3:45 p.m.
- Full day rentals are $120 per kayak, launch at 8:45 a.m., and must return by 5:00 p.m.

- Every vessel must carry one United States Coast Guard approved wearable life vest for each rider. Riders under age 16 must wear their life vest for the entire rental.
- Each clear tandem holds one or two riders with a 425 pound combined capacity.
- No single rider may weigh more than 250 pounds.
- Reservations must be completed online before arrival. Walk up bookings are not permitted.
- Park admission is $2 per person and the launch fee is $4 per kayak, paid separately onsite.
